Car Seats - are required by law when operating a vehicle. However, when used excessively to carry, feed and have your baby sleep in, they may interfere/delay with your babies heathly and normal development.
ALTERNATIVE - Carry or feed your baby in your arms, a sling, or an infant shawl.
Vertical Carriers - force open posture and tense body muscles. This may result in your newborn feeling stressed and he/she may have difficulty relaxing and may delay crawling; Causes stress on their neck, hips and joints and does not let your baby bring his/her legs and arms together.
ALTERNATIVE- Carry or feed your baby in your arms, a sling, or an infant shawl.
Jumpers/Saucers/Walkers- NEVER USE JUMPERS DUE TO BRAIN SHAKING and they are hard on your baby's joints and muscles. Walkers deprive your infant of important time on the floor, which may prevent them from learning to roll, crawl and sit.
ALTERNATIVE- Get down to floor level with your baby and play with them.
